Whew Chile...My Mama Said... (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798414629887)

We call them Mama, Big Mama, Auntie, and Godmother. There are many ways to signify a mother. A mother's love and wisdom teach us the beauty of strength, always being there, doing the things as a mother should do them. Whew Chile. . . My Mama Said. . . is a book of collected advice from a mother's heart, exemplifying how a mother loves, prays for, teaches, comforts, and strengthens her daughter. As these true stories bring smiles, nods of recognition, and even some tears, they also bring us into a deeper intimacy between a daughter and mother.

The sagacity of a mother's intelligence carries the weight of great leaders, one being Christ. Proverbs 31:25-26 says, "Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue."

These short stories are written for moms, daughters, and sons by contributors who rely on their mother's advice, even if their moms are no longer with them. It includes reflection space for the reader to write about what his or her Mama said as well. This inspirational rendering is designed to be read again and again, savored, and shared.
