He was a US Navy Officer and firearms instructor and earned a pilots license along with a martial arts black belt and later became a police officer and firearms trainer retiring from patrol duties after 23 years. He is a chapter president of a motorcycle club. He is more importantly a father and grandfather and tells the story of how a devastating diagnosis of ALS and then cancer has strengthened his resolve to LIVE in the present through Faith, Science and doing what he Loves. Life is too short to be wasted with regrets. Living is a CHOICE. Since his diagnosis and subsequent retirement he mentors and contributes to clinical websites, makes clinical teaching videos and rides across the fruited plains visiting friends, family and loved ones.
