The writing of the poems was done based upon direct life experiences, events or inspirations found in day-to-day living. The author uses a style that came, in part, from his Grandmother. She was greatly influenced by the tone and craft of Longfellow and Frost. While he is not a poet by trade, his work weaves an interesting and sometimes amusing tapestry of one man's journey through his "youthful" years.
