I started writing when my youngest son, Jason left for college. Depressed because I had an empty nest, I needed something to fill my evenings. I have always loved to lose myself in a good book, so I decided to lose myself while writing one. Every day I get to go on an adventure because as I write I become my heroine. It took me almost a year to write my first book, Desperate, because I wasn't very serious at first. When I finished the book, I couldn't wait to get started on the next one, The Shadow. I didn't want Kate Monroe's story to end so I wrote a third, Sultry Texas Nights. I am obsessed with writing. Before I finish one book, the next is already forming in my imagination. My favorite novel is Love Me Again, the first book in the McDonald & Sutton Families four book series. Whispers of the Falls is my first contemporary, which has been a struggle since I love to write Historical Romance. History has always been my favorite subject, especially The Civil War Era. I have just completed the fourth book in the Twelve Oaks Farm Series, Blood of the Falls. The Twelve Oaks Series has mystery, romance, danger, and suspense at every turn. I hope my readers will love my first contemporary series. The only thing that will get me to put down my writing is my family. I love riding the trails around my house with my husband and three beautiful granddaughters on our Rhino (ATV). My family has been very supportive of my part time carrier as a writer. Pets also add to my life. I have a dog named Scrub, a cat named Slick, and the newest addition to our family is an orange kitten named Jellybean. Pets give unconditional love.
