Shelly has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from La Roche College, is certified in both Elementary and Special Education, has a Master's of Science in Organizational Leadership degree from Geneva College, and has graduate studies in the specialized area of Dyslexia from the University of San Diego.
