Steve Ruis (1946- ) got started late in archery and was predominantly a compound bow field archer until frequent complaints about how "we weren't doing enough to help kids in archery" got him into coaching. He currently holds a Level 4 Coaching credential from USA Archery and Master Coach credential from the National Field Archery Association.
