Deborah was a senior manager at the second-largest bank in the world. Then in 1995, the driver of a two-ton New York utility truck smashed into her station wagon at 50 mph. Her head whipped back against the seat so violently that the headrest broke. The traumatic brain injury she suffered reduced her mental abilities to that of a five-year-old child.
