Wire and Whiskey (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798235466418)

"Some men build walls to keep the world out. The dangerous ones build them to keep you in-and make you grateful for the cage."

Thea Belmont is running for her life. Carrying stolen cash and a ledger that could bring down a ruthless drug lord, she flees into the remote Appalachian mountains. Her desperate escape ends violently in the dark when she crashes into a razor-wire perimeter defending a secluded cabin.

Her reluctant savior is Nash Kincaid, a solitary moonshiner who has spent three years locked away from the world. Grieving his brother's murder, Nash has fortified his land against the dangerous lowlands, trusting no one and feeling nothing.

Trapped together behind the wire, the initial hostility between the calculating fugitive and the guarded mountain man slowly dissolves into a fierce, consuming attraction. But the walls Nash built can't keep the truth out forever. As they grow closer, a devastating secret comes to light: their tragic pasts are tied to the exact same cartel leader. With heavily armed men hunting Thea and closing in on the mountain, Nash and Thea must confront their shared demons and decide whether the walls they've built will be their salvation or their downfall.
