Anita Elam is a former Navy submarine tracker (that was fun!) and an Information Technology Professional (Computer Programmer). Though her work has always been in the technical field, she has always loved poetry and being creative. She wrote her first poem at twelve years old and was hooked. Now that her two children are grown and on their own, she is back to her poetry writing and other writing ventures. Two titles "Reflections of a Poetrygirl" (Poetry) and "The Bugle Called You Home" (non-fiction) are currently available, with a new poetry book on the way ("Wistful Thinking") and other writing projects planned.
