Withness (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781764788618)

What if following Jesus begins not with what we do for Him, but with becoming deeply aware of the One who is already with us?

Withness: The Threads of God's Presence is an invitation to rediscover the abiding presence of Jesus through Scripture, story and everyday life.

From the garden of Genesis to the promise of God dwelling with His people in Revelation, Mike Hey traces a simple golden thread through the biblical story: God desires to be with His people, to dwell in them by His Spirit, and to lead them into lives of love, prayer, blessing and witness.

Drawing on decades of walking with Jesus across cultures, communities and nations, Mike combines biblical reflection with personal stories from India, Asia, the ships Doulos and Logos Hope, and everyday life in Australia. The result is not a programme or technique, but an invitation into companionship with Jesus.

At the heart of the journey are four simple questions:

Who is with us?

Who are we, with Him?

What is He showing us?

What is our next step?

This expanded edition also includes a Participant's Companion, designed to help individuals, small groups and churches slow down, listen to Scripture, share what they are noticing, and take practical steps of faith and love together.

Withness is an invitation to live from the presence of Jesus, not simply work for Him.

Jesus is Lord. Jesus is here. Jesus is good news.
