Wolves Among the Flock: Identifying False Teachers and Preachers in the Epistles of the Apostle PaulThe wolf at the door does not knock.

Across his thirteen epistles - from Romans to Philemon - the Apostle Paul returns again and again to one of the most urgent pastoral concerns of the early church: the infiltration of false teachers and preachers into the body of Christ. These were not obvious villains. They were polished, persuasive, credentialed. They preached from pulpits, accepted tithes, and spoke the language of faith. Their fruit, their motives, and their methods - examined carefully against the apostolic standard - betrayed them.

WOLVES AMONG THE FLOCK is a systematic, verse-by-verse study of every major Pauline text that addresses false teaching, organized as a portrait gallery - ten distinct types of false teacher, each examined in depth using the King James Version of Scripture.

You will meet:
The Gospel Perverters - who add to grace, subtract from Christ, or substitute a different Jesus, a different spirit, a different gospel. Paul's double anathema falls on them.

The Apostles of Satan - who appear as ministers of righteousness while enslaving, devouring, and abusing those in their care. Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

The Belly Servers - whose God is their appetite. Financial, sensual, social, and ego-driven, they serve themselves while speaking the language of the kingdom.

The Doctrinal Drifters - who substitute intellectually stimulating speculation for the transformative apostolic deposit, whose word eats as a canker.

The Character Corrupters - who wear the form of godliness while denying its power. Nineteen markers. One devastating profile.

The Legalists - who place the congregation back under the yoke of bondage from which Christ has set them free.

The Schismatics - who weaponize loyalty, personality, and party spirit to fragment the body Christ purchased with his own blood.

The Unqualified - who occupy the office without meeting the standard. Their teaching is false not in content but in authority.

The Itching-Ear Enablers - who abandon the full apostolic mandate for the slow surrender to audience approval.

The Licentious Libertines - who use the doctrine of grace as license for immorality, and whose glory is in their shame.

Each chapter provides: full exegesis of the Pauline text, Greek word studies, identifying characteristics with observable 'Watch for' diagnostics, tactical analysis, historical and contemporary examples, study questions, and structured discernment exercises.

The final chapter synthesizes Paul's four-part response protocol, a comprehensive thirty-question ministry evaluation framework, pastoral care for those damaged by false teachers, and guidance for building a congregation that holds the truth in love.

Built entirely on the King James Version. Designed for individual study, small groups, pastoral training, and congregational teaching.

The time has come. Will you know the difference?
