TOBY W. CLYMAN is Associate Professor of Slavic Languages and Literatures at the State University of New York at Albany. She has published studies on Chekhov, Gogol, Babel, and on Russian autobiography, and is the editor of A Chekhov Companion (Greenwood, 1985) and co-translator of P. M. Bitsilli's Chekhov's Art: A Stylistic Analysis (1983).
DIANA GREENE is an independent scholar who has written articles on feminist criticism of Russian literature, the Strugatsky brothers, Anastasiia Chebotarevskaia, and Karolina Pavlova. She is the author of Insidious Intent: Interpretations of Fedor Sologub's The Petty Demon (1986), and is currently working on a book on Karolina Pavlova.Thanks for subscribing!
