A life without trees is a life without... well... life, some would say.

Within the title, 'woods' and 'trees' could be interchangeable, but 'woods' has been chosen because of the perception held by many that they contain a spiritual quality that may be as illusive as it is mysterious.

This will resonate immediately with those familiar with folk and fairy tales, but you don't need to be a scholar of either to sense a special presence as you move silently within woodland or forest.

Similarly there are those among you who say you connect with individual trees - those standing solus within a rural setting.
