Jeffrey Dean Doty grew up on a dairy farm in Northern Illinois. He began reading at an early age, and has held a lifelong love of the written word. Jeffrey has two adult children, and still lives in Illinois with his beloved wife, Jean, and a fairly stable cat named Stella. Jeffrey has published both fiction and nonfiction in national and regional magazines, and has authored six books. He has taught writers' workshops, and mentored new writers for over fifteen years.
