Working Together: (Reestablishing the Village) (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798287500191)

There was once a time when the success of a child was a shared responsibility of a united community. Teachers, parents, neighbors, and mentors worked hand in hand to ensure that children were nurtured, guided, and held accountable, not just at home or in school, but everywhere. This collective was called "the village." But somewhere along the way, the threads of that village unraveled.

Today, teachers face more than just the challenge of imparting knowledge; they struggle against disconnection, disrespect, and disinterest from the very individuals who should be their strongest allies: parents. What was once a collaboration between educators and families has often turned into a battleground.

Too many children enter classrooms unprepared, not just academically, but emotionally and behaviorally.
These students come to school without the tools or mindset needed to succeed. And far too often, teachers are left to bear the weight of raising, disciplining, and educating children with little to no support.

This book is not a condemnation of parents. It is a call to action. It is a plea for understanding, collaboration, and accountability from all sides.

It is an invitation to rebuild the bridges that once connected homes to classrooms. When the teacher, parent, and student walk in unity, the village is restored, and with it, the potential for every child to succeed.
