It is of paramount importance that we do not cause harm to the healing wound and to the peri-wound skin by our treatment. It is also vital that we have a holistic approach to wound management by paying attention to the patient's overall condition and his or her social background. I hope we can update this book from time to time with the help of my colleagues in the field to keep up with modern research and developments.
