Writing Elegies For Dead Men I Didn't Meet (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781917429399)

Cathi Rae's Writing Elegies for Dead Men I Didn't Meet explores the

painful but important subject of male suicide in a series of eloquent and

sensitive poems each about a different real case. Drawing only on

information publicly available on social media, these are poems of

respectful distance as well as of imaginative sympathy; and they bear

moving testimony not only to the distinctive experience of each

commemorated individual but also to the tragically powerful social forces

that lead men to suffer in silence rather than share their feelings.
