Since 1985 many new souls incarnating on Earth are members of a new species of Humans. There was no dramatic shift in our civilization in the year 2012 as some had predicted; however, as these children grow older they WILL change the Earth. In the meantime there seem to be higher suicide rates among young people. The problems in the school system are overwhelming for many different reasons, partly because the old teaching methods are simply not working with these children whose brains are wired differently from ours. YOU ARE WONDERFUL offers a simple method to improve academic work as well as feelings of self worth that can be used by parents, educators and counselors. The book includes a series of short "stories" designed to induce right hemisphere thinking followed by positive suggestions. The original research was conducted in a public school setting with fourth, fifth and sixth graders for Dr. Fuqua's doctoral dissertation. However, feedback has shown that these stories and concepts can be very helpful to even teenagers and adults. A section at the end presents simple explanations of the metaphysical concepts used in the stories. These include spirit guides, auras, chakras and numerology with examples of why these are important for children and parents to understand. Based on Dr. Fuqua's 33 years as a teacher, resource specialist and counselor, she gives many insights into methods that can help children grow into compassionate, competent adults.

Evelyn Fuqua holds a B.A. in Psychology from Agnes Scott College, an M.A. in Counseling from California State University Sacramento and a Ph.D. in Psychology from the Professional School of Psychology. Dr. Fuqua was a teacher, counselor and resource specialist in the public schools for 33 years before retiring and going into private practice as a Marriage, Family Therapist. She was a well known workshop leader and presenter at many professional conferences as well as guest on numerous radio talk programs. Fuqua was a counselor for several years at Antelope Valley Family Services, Vice-President of the Board of Directors for Family Services and on the Board of Directors for Antelope Valley Association of University Women. Later after moving to Rocklin CA she became State Relations Chairman for the California Counselors Association and the Marriage Family Therapist Division of the state guidance association CACD. Evelyn is a native of Georgia where she taught school for several years. After living in several other states, she moved to California where she lived for fifty years. She now spends her time writing and enjoying the beautiful Oregon coast where she lives with her mate Paul and amazing Coon cat Boots.
