Dan Nappi has been involved in winning football programs for over thirty-eight years, head coaching for twenty of them. While attending high school his football team never lost a league game; they were state champions during his junior year. He sat at the feet of Dick Butkus as he explained linebacker do's and do not's. He spent only one year as an assistant before becoming a head coach. In research for this book he took a team of fathers who had never coached before and showed them how to coach their own team. By the middle of the year he was on the sidelines with the parents as the two new coaches did everything on the field.
