Zan-Yew and The Great Portal: Pocket Edition (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9782488516082)

He was born between one heartbeat and the next... and then he was gone.

At the very moment his parents finally held him, Zan-Yew vanished. No warning. No explanation. Just a flash of light, and an empty space where a newborn should have been.

He wakes up on Earth, curled against a boy named Lucas who has no idea what he is. Neither does Zan-Yew. But the world of Avaloria is calling: a place of frozen fountains, colorful Zéphiras, and ancient magic that pulses with secrets older than memory.

Everyone calls him the Guardian. Nobody will tell him what that means.

When the Grand Portal cracks open between worlds and the Shadows start bleeding through, the elders are silent. The Council has no answers. And Eclipse, his mother, who has crossed worlds to find him, can only watch.

Because Zan-Yew isn't like her. He isn't like any cat-raptor who came before. He is something the two worlds have never seen: half shadow, half light, belonging everywhere and nowhere at once.

Maybe that's exactly why he's the only one who can save them both.

The epic finale of the Cat-Raptors trilogy.
